The absent winter chills don't deny me of cold feet

The Christmas carols remind me of that week

The decorations do not veil my heartbeat

The mistletoe does not make my heart skip

A thousand miles away

A thousand smiles away

Countless ways to say

It wasn't meant to be this way

Will it forever haunt me?

Will the season forever taunt me?

Hold you breath...

No don't breathe deeper

This is fact...

It sends me a shiver

Bonds have been severed

Ties have been broken

Strings have been cut

Words now unspoken

Need I remember it?

Could I forget it?

Christmas is here once again

My least favorite time of the year

Pop the champagne

Cheers with beer

And slowly, hopefully, usher in, a better year.
